Under the expert guidance of Sarah McLoughlin, (Sarah has worked in catering for over 30 years. She is a hugely talented chef & cake maker, great fun and an inspiring cook. We are delighted she is part of the team at the Bakehouse)
In this hands on, step by step session, with a maximum of 6 in the class, Sarah will help you perfect the art of making pretty macarons.
On this course you will learn:
How to make the perfect macaron shell
How to make a chocolate ganache and fresh cranberry buttercream
Perfect your piping skills and different ways to decorate the macarons with a festive twist.
Macaron recipes on this course will be:
Macarons with a fresh cranberry buttercream filling
Chocolate macarons with a chocolate ganache
Lemon macarons with homemade lemon curd
The day starts at 9.45 am with coffee/tea , macarons and a run through of the day's schedule. You will then spend the morning baking followed by a lovely sociable 2 course lunch with a glass of wine/soft drink, tea/coffee in the Bakehouse.
You will leave with your macarons beautifully boxed and ready to show off to family and friends, together with the recipe handouts so that you can recreate them at home.
*Macarons can be frozen so would be perfect to save for Christmas!
