Kenny will work through the process of making these treats to ensure you leave with a delicious batch of sweet & savoury filled doughnuts, light fluffy crumpets and tasty, moreish muffins just waiting to be enjoyed with butter & your favourite toppings!
During the day you with learn .......
Doughnuts
- How to make the perfect yeasted dough & kneading techniques
- How to roll shape & cut the little fellas!
- How to use the right oils for frying and getting the temperature just right to ensure the best colour and consistency
- How to fill with both savoury & sweet fillings and ideas for this
Crumpets
- How to make the perfect yeasted batter
- How to get the right structure for your crumpets
- How to use crumpet rings and cook at the right temperature to get the perfect finish & texture
English Muffins
- How to make the perfect yeasted dough
- How to roll out and cut the dough
- How to use semolina/polenta to get the perfect finish
- How to griddle the dough to get the right colour & texture
The workshop starts promptly at 10am (Arrive anytime from 9.30am for tea/coffee and homemade cookies) and will run through until 3.30/4pm and includes refreshments, a homemade set two course lunch with wine, beer or soft drinks and tea/coffee to finish.
There is no need to bring anything with you as everything you need for the day is provided and you will take home all the goodies that you have made together with the recipes and instructions.
