Held in our Bakehouse with its traditional wood burning oven you can have a truly hands on experience making various breads from around the world and learning new skills that will enable you to make fresh, great tasting bread whenever you like.
Whether you are a complete beginner or a regular bread maker, we have workshops throughout the year to help you hone your baking skills and knowledge with a group of like-minded people.
Many of the breads are baked in our traditional wood oven giving the opportunity to work with a baker’s peel. The courses are however aimed at baking in the home. You will therefore be able to take the recipes and techniques back home to enjoy as well as the delicious breads you have made!
All our workshops are informal, relaxed, informative and great fun and are limited to 6-8 people ensuring everyone gets the individual attention they need. We are proud to have internationally renowned baker & author, Emmanuel Hadjiandreou as part of the team, he heads up our sourdough classes among other workshops.
We can also provide tailor made workshops for small private groups and also host fun pizza or bread making parties for groups of up to 10.
We are proud to use and be the sole stockist in Sussex of Shipton Mills' organic flour. We stock a great range of different flours for you to choose from to take home and enjoy.
